You give everyone your best. This emotional support is for you.

THIS PAGE STARTS WITH YOU

You're the one people call. The steady one at work, the planner at home, the friend who always picks up. You've built a life that works for everyone around you, and somewhere in all that giving, your own needs went quiet.

Now your brain runs long after the day ends. Rest feels like one more thing to earn. You've read the books and listened to the podcasts, and the same patterns keep showing up anyway.

Lately a question keeps surfacing: where do I go from here?

That question deserves a real answer, and finding it is exactly what this work is for. You can arrive without a diagnosis, a crisis, or a rehearsed explanation. Noticing that something isn't sitting quite right is enough.

If this sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

LCSW (Indiana & Florida) • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)

II'm Candace Arnold, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Indiana license 34012372A. As an LCSW, I provide clinical care through a holistic framework, and as a certified clinical trauma professional, I bring a trauma-informed lens, drawing on a multitude of modalities that fit best for each individual.

I know what it takes to keep going, keep achieving, and keep showing up, even when something inside is asking for attention.

I'm based in Indianapolis and meet with clients virtually across Indiana and Florida, and what I value most in this work is honesty in both directions: you can say anything here, and I'll tell you the truth with care.

My path to becoming a trauma-informed therapist

WHERE THIS WORK COMES FROM

I became a therapist to help others get to that “ah-ha” moment. Watching someone connect a pattern to its root, and seeing the relief that follows, is genuinely inspiring to me. I love working with people who are ready for something to change.

Before private practice, I worked in high-stakes human systems: crisis work with veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs, child protective services investigation, school-based mental health, and parent coaching. Across all of it, I watched the same truth play out. The environments we grow up in shape how we cope, lead, parent, and love as adults, often in ways we never put words to.

I also understand the people-pleasing pattern from the inside. It took me time to learn what my own needs were after years of setting them aside for others, and that understanding shapes how I sit with every client.

Listen First, Then Ask the Hard Questions

Sessions with me are active. I ask specific questions, connect dots between what's happening now and where it began, and give you honest feedback, because you're goal-oriented and your time matters. There's room for humor, and I can read a room well enough to know when to dial it up and when to sit quietly with you.

You set the pace. We dive in, or tip toe, whichever you'd like, and we build safety before we go anywhere deep. Nothing you bring is too much, and there's no such thing as TMI here.

What we find, we use. Insight becomes a plan: targeted, measurable shifts in how you think, respond, and set boundaries. Many clients tell me they start catching their own patterns in daily life between sessions, and that's the moment the work becomes yours.

IS THIS YOU?

If you recognize yourself in any of these, you're likely in the right place:

I work with women, most in their 20s to 50s, who look composed on the outside while carrying constant pressure on the inside. Professionals, leaders, and caretakers who became the strong one early and have carried the role ever since. They often arrive with:

  • A brain that keeps going long after the day is done

  • Exhaustion that rest hasn't touched

  • Saying yes when everything in them wants to say no

  • A never-ending to-do list that creates its own anxiety

  • Reactions that feel bigger than the moment

  • A new chapter of life and the quiet realization they're unsure what they want

Underneath these, usually some learned pattern with deep roots, and understanding it is where real change starts.

A grounded presence you can be honest with

WHY CLIENTS CHOOSE ME

Clients tell me they feel heard before I ever ask the hard question, and cared for when I do. That balance is the whole point. What they say keeps them coming back:

  • Direct feedback with warmth underneath

  • Patterned connections they have yet to put together

  • Structure that makes every session count

  • A calm, steady presence for hard conversations

  • Energy that motivates real change

  • Transparency about fees, process, and what to expect
